"I do like some of the local..."
I do like some of the local news coverage, so it’s not like the whole thing was a bad experience. But I don’t know why the billing side had to be so frustrating.

The promo price seemed reasonable at first, then the renewal jumped up and I didn’t feel like it was made very clear when that was going to happen. Canceling was also more of a hassle than I expected, and even after digging around, I still wasn’t totally sure it had actually gone through.

It’s not the worst service or anything, but for a basic news subscription, I feel like it should be easier to understand and simpler to cancel if you want to

"Delivery Feels Like a Weekend Gamble"
Most weekdays the paper shows up just fine, but weekends are a whole different drama. Sometimes I’m sitting there waiting like it’s the event of the century, and it finally shows up late. It’s not the end of the world, but wow, it can be frustrating when all I want is my paper with my morning coffee.

"Solid deal if you follow local stories"
I’ve noticed I get the most out of it when I’m tracking the same local issues over time, like city projects or school updates. For the price, it feels fair and the coverage is useful. My only gripe is that the paywall popups seem to show up a bit too often, which breaks the flow sometimes

"Decent news, but the ads are a lot"
I mean, the news itself is okay and I do check it sometimes. But wow, the ads pop up way too much and it gets annoying fast. Overall it’s fine, I guess, though the ad situation is genuinely frustrating.

"The digital access is still frustrating"
I keep having trouble logging in, and it’s getting annoying. Sometimes it works, then the next time it just doesn’t, and I’m sitting there trying again like I did something wrong. The app or site might be fine once you’re in, I don’t know, but getting in should not be this much of a hassle.

"Fair paywall for a casual reader"
As someone who likes to browse a few articles before committing to anything, I actually think the paywall is fair. It doesn’t lock everything down right away, so I can still read a bit and decide later if a subscription makes sense for me. Works well enough for how I use it.

"Surprisingly quick when it mattered"
I had a login issue and reached out to support expecting the usual long wait, but they actually got back to me fast and fixed it without making things more complicated. i was pleasantly surprised

"Pretty decent, but a few stories could use more care"
I read The Seattle Times often, and for the most part I think the reporting is solid, especially when it comes to local news. That said, every now and then an article feels one-sided or like it’s missing some important background. I’ve also noticed corrections don’t always feel easy to spot. Overall, it’s not bad, I just wish they were a bit more careful with the details sometimes

"Pretty useful for staying in the Seattle loop"
I usually check the Seattle Times most mornings, it’s been a good way to keep up with what’s going on around the city. The local stuff feels relevant, especially weather, transit updates, and city news. Maybe it’s just me, but I like having one place to quickly see what’s happening nearby. For me, it feels worth it.

"I canceled quickly and didn’t run into..."
I canceled quickly and didn’t run into any weird hassle. From the tone, I was expecting them to try and talk me out of it, but it was actually painless.

"Solid reporting, especially on local stuff"
I’ve been reading seattletimes.com for a while now. Not every day, but often. And yeah, the reporting is solid. The local coverage especially feels like someone actually checked things, followed up, talked to people. It doesn’t have that exaggerated, everything-is-a-crisis tone some news sites fall into.

The opinion pieces are clear too, even when I’m sitting there disagreeing with half of it. The writing is easy to get through. Most articles feel like there’s a reason they were written, not just space being filled. Overall, it’s just a good local paper to keep up with.

"Good local news, though I wish it had more depth"
I mostly use seattletimes.com when I’m trying to keep up with Seattle and Washington stuff. It’s handy, and the updates usually show up fast, which I like. But sometimes the articles feel a little too short, like they say the main thing and then that’s kind of it. I guess I just wanted more background or explaining, especially on local issues that are more complicated. Overall it’s still decent and I do read it, but not always as deep as I was hoping for, if that makes sense

"My comments keep disappearing for no reason"
The comment section feels like it’s being moderated way too aggressively. I posted what I thought was a totally normal opinion, nothing rude or over the line, and it just never showed up. It’s really frustrating because what’s the point of having a discussion if regular comments get filtered out? Makes it hard to take the whole thing seriously anymore.

"I used to read the Seattle Times pretty..."
I used to read the Seattle Times pretty much every day, but lately the political slant has gotten hard to ignore. A lot of the stories feel like the opinion is already baked in before the reporting even starts. What’s more frustrating is that when readers point this out, it doesn’t feel like anyone there really takes ownership or acknowledges the issue. At this point, I just don’t feel like it’s worth paying for anymore.

"Works well most of the time"
I was in a good mood when I started using the app, and overall it’s been solid. It loads quickly most days, which I appreciate, but it does freeze on my phone every now and then. Not a dealbreaker, just a little annoying when it happens.
